Chairman of the Supervisory Body

 

In 1980 he graduated from the Faculty of Management of the College of Economics (now University of Economics) in Bratislava. During 2002 - 2004 he held the position of Vice Governor of the National Bank of Slovakia (NBS) and during 2005-2010 he held the position of Governor of the NBS. In 2010 he was appointed as an Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) based in Paris, France. In 2012 he became Chairman of the Council for Budgetary Responsibility, where he served until September 2020. On 1 February 2022 he was appointed as the Chairman of the Supervisory Body at the National Cancer Institute.

Patrik Palacka

Member of the Supervisory Body

 

Since graduating in General Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University (LF UK) in Bratislava in 2005, he has been working at NCI, currently as the Head of the Outpatient Chemotherapy Department. In 2009 he was awarded a PhD from the LF UK in Bratislava in the doctoral study program of internal diseases. In 2012 he completed specialization studies MPH at SZU (Slovak Medical University) in Bratislava and his MBA studies at SMA in Vienna. In 2017 he graduated in the Corporate Master of Laws (LL.M.) from CEMI in Prague. In 2019 he defended his rigorous thesis of law (JUDr.) at the Danubius College in Sládkovičovo. He passed the specialization exam in the field of Clinical Medicine in 2009. Since 2011 he has been working as Assistant Professor at LF UK in Bratislava. In his scientific work he deals with genitourinary malignancies, especially urothelial carcinomas. He is a member of professional societies including ASCO and ESMO, as well as a member of the editorial board of the Journal Onkológia. On 1 February 2022 he was appointed as a member of the Supervisory Body at the National Cancer Institute.

Peter Hodas

In 2009 he completed his studies in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Žilina. Since graduating he has been working as a clinical physicist at NCI. He passed the specialization exam in Clinical Physics Programme in 2016. During his work at NCI, he completed several internships in the Czech Republic. On 1 February 2022 he was appointed as a member of the Supervisory Body at the National Cancer Institute.
